My life
Has always been and always will be in the Lords hands.

From a kid I was obsessed with war
Playing guns in the street, wanting G.I Joes from the store.
I'd be in my backyard kickin open doors.
My soldiers outfitted with little m4's.

Destined to be a warrior,
The path that I took
Involved a lot of tragedy
That left a lotta dudes shook.
But I always loved music at the same time.
Used to be in my room making beats
during peacetime.

9-11 happened when I was in 7th grade.
Saw it on the tell-lie-vision an they said our country had to be saved.
Couldn't wait to put the enemy in the grave.
This was my chance to be a G.I Joe, strong, deadly and brave.
Little did I know at the time we were all enslaved.
Our own government blew those towers and hit us with the shock wave.
Trauma based mind control for all our brains.
But the enemy is out there somewhere in the caves!

Shaved head, new boots, full kit from Uncle Sam.
Turned us into some killers, buncha sleep deprived ex drug dealers.
Like an attack dog I had become the reaper.
Even painted up on all the walls like Death was our leader.
Picking on those that were weaker.

First came Iraq and then Afghanistan
Where I saw all my action fightin against the taliban
We'd run over bomb after bomb that's how the tour began.
Rolling like some gypsies through no mans land.

The enemy were some ghosts, shootin an moving never holding a post.
Whenever we had engagements they were hardly ever close.
Victim operated mine fields where they at? Nobody knows.
I'm in this foreign desert country feelin' hella exposed.
They're moving heavy machine guns an RPG's coming over the radios.
Scanning through my night vision all I see is shadows.
