Problems in the showcase: No photo upload possible. No deleting tracks in the showcase.

Hello folks!

I have been a Gold Collaborator since the beginning of May 2024. So far I have been able to release 2 albums without any problems. However, what didn't work from the start...

This is not possible in my showcase:

a) Upload photos:
They only appear as minis in the preview for a short time and then disappear immediately.

b) Titles that I have loaded into my showcase cannot be deleted again.



I use the following equipment with Wikiloops:

a) MacBook Pro: 2.6 GHz, 6 cores, Intel Core i7, 16 GB RAM,
MacOS Sonoma 14.5
Browser: duckduckgo, sometimes also Firefox or Chrome

b) iPad Pro 12.9, 6th generation, IOS 17.5.1
Browser: duckduckgo, sometimes also Firefox or Chrome

c) very rare: iPhone 14

All devices I use have the above errors
also occur when using different browsers.

Maybe someone has got the same problem and can help?

Same for me, I asked. Dick must not have seen my message.
There are a lot of us in wikiloops and it can't be easy for him. I'm testifying with you to emphasize your message. That said, the important thing is that the music works great. So I didn't renew my request. In the end I decided it wasn't important.

Hey folks,
Thanks for your patience & understanding.
I am aware I often fail to respond quickly, but be assured I am noticing such reports and we (that includes my co-coder karuma) are of course aiming to resolve any bugs that we are pointed at.
Since both of us do the wikiloops coding in our free time after our regular work is taken care of, we simply can't solve all issues immediately. With me being occupied with the 2024 wikiloops meeting all summer, we have only been doing the absolutely necessary code changes to make sure wikiloops works, but had to postpone things which we felt were of lower priority.
I will not make the mistake to promise when the mentioned issues will be resolved, the showcase issue has been investigated and solved by karuma as far as I know, but is still awaiting delivery to the live server, the gallery issue still needs investigation.
I did recently upload quite a lot of images to a gallery without the slightest issue, so I wonder what may have been the issue when you tried. If possible, attach me one of the images that fail to upload so I can test that myself.

update: I just fixed the issue manually for those who reported in here, the bug is not solved yet, so, if you are affected by the showcase gallery upload not working for you, please do let me know individually.

We will roll out a proper patch soonish, all I can offer in the meantime is such manual fixes.
