Kindness

Kindness blesses those that take,
And those who give the same,
It’s not for anybody’s sake,
Or anybody’s name.
It’s something all of us can do,
To ease another’s sorrow,
And if today it hid from you,
Just look again tomorrow.

For kindness is a magic seed,
That grows in every heart,
It blooms with every selfless deed,
A living work of art.
It helps to light the darkest nights,
Yet somehow never fades,
And aids us in the starkest fights,
With life's uncertain shades.

In every act of love it lives,
To brighten every smile,
A hand that always freely gives,
And walks with you each mile.
Though sometimes it may seem to hide,
In shadows, pain, or doubt,

Just let it venture out.

So don’t despair if all seems lost,
Or hope begins to wane,
Remember, kindness bears no cost,
