Hey y'all,
Here is a pickle for you. I recently came over the handlebars on my road bike and added a new joint to my radius bone on my left arm. As I wait for this new impromptu cosmetic surgery to heal, which will take around 6 weeks, I have no fretting hand. I do however have midi controler keyboard. Tried but not feeling it. Any tips or tricks from the community to get into an instrument that feels so alien to you? Any inspirational stories?

wishing you good luck in healing my friend. we have a local guitarist who lost his ability in his left hand, sad story actually, but he managed to adapt and still play with just his right arm/hand.

If you have a controller with unweighted keys, try playing single notes and use the mod wheel. I usually do that to "calibrate" mind and fingers to an otherwise "dead" keyboard.
