User profile issue

I have been trying to update my profile page and add an avatar image but nothing is changing when I click on save. Is this because I am a new user or must I be a supporting member to use this feature?

I don't know what I am doing wrong, but I cannot get my profile avatar image to display. Is there a maximum size i.e. 128x128 pixels or something that I am missing???

Hey there :) I am not sure, but I checked my Avatar size and it's
283 x 283 px . So if you are below that it should work. Why don't you upload the Avatar here and let me see?

Hey,
I've checked the issue tonight, and the image was accepted once I had converted it to png format, so my guess would be that there might have been some sort of problem with the original JPG, but admittedly, that's a pretty rough guess.
