This month's up-coming purchase is going to be some decent speakers for mixing. The current ones I have are from a basic hi-fi system and just do not have the clarity I want (or need!). I'm looking to spend up to about £200/€300.

I already have an Alesis RA-150 studio power amp, hence I only need passive speakers. This is the amp:

I also have a Celestion Bass Enhancement Speaker (Ported 2x12" drivers, I think). Anyway, similar to this thing:

I'll be rigging a separate amp to power it which I've finally acquired from my former home.

So far, my list of potential speakers is (prices from Thomann.de):

Alesis Elevate 6 Passive: €96 each.
KRK R6: €179 each (slightly over-budget but they seem popular)
JBL Control 1 Pro: €144 for a pair

Can anyone vouch for these speakers and/or recommend others? As I say, up to about €300 for a pair

Thanks.

I think you'll have a win with any of those once you get used to them.
I've been looking into the Avantone Mixcubes.

I saw a passive pair sold with your exact amp while googling.
