in all honesty, i'm actually waiting for AI to put out a blues tune. if it can emulate those slow painful blues bends, make you feel that pain...then we're all doomed.

Thomas hinted that we're the wave in a sea of death. It got me thinking, has anyone entertained the idea of building an AI module trained entirely on Wikiloops tracks? If I had the time and knowledge, it would be interesting. Training an AI bass player on tracks from here, maybe calling it AI440 :) or something...you get the idea. How would Wikiloops know that an AI model was trained off tracks from here? What if someone then licensed it for use thereafter?

You've just made the case for every Wikiloopologist to put in really bad performances just to sabotage the idea. :@ (Basically what I've been doing these last years)
Hell no, even if it never happens, I want to keep the thought in my head that maybe one day in some future Barnadise meeting we'll jam on stage together. And I certainly wouldn't want that thought to be spoilt by 'what if AI440 is better than the Ernie standing next to me?'.
But for the sake of the argument, training AI exclusivly on Wikiloops would probably get better results than some of stuff that currently available.

This happened to me as well. Heard a song on a podcast and HAD TO LEARN WHO IT WAS only to find out it was AI.
I realize the songtitle is not that classy but I did assume at first it was legitimate 70s underground soul and the song became an ear worm to where I had to listen to it again.
When I found out it was AI, it caused a huge moral dilemma within me. So as is normal for me, I tried to find the lesson in it.
So I am now at the point , I just assume anything dirty, X rated or derogatory that sounds vintage, is AI because since the invention of the internet ,modern people will utilize technology for degeneracy and not actually use it to touch people "souls" or express "art".
People always find a way to corrupt or cheapen art that should be coming from the soul to uplift others.
I mean the reality is ,smart space scientists invented the internet so dumb people could use it to watch porn.
You could watch outer space , transport a 1000 feet below the sea , teach yourself any musical instrument in a matter of hours but watching porn pics and videos is what the average fat, lazy video gamer still living in mommy and daddys basement ,who cant get laid, uses it for.
Freaking sad. Porn and degeneracy is the number #1 useage of the worlds greatest invention.
Search "AI music" on Youtube and its all dirty words, Derogatory subjects. Nothing uplifting or beautiful.

For my home recording most AI plugins are complete garbage.
Generally AI Equalizers are crap.
However FAbfilter Pro Q has become accepted in pro studio environments and as far as me personally, I think its the best plugin ever.
The AI in Pro Q analyzes the track OR mix and blends the Eqs really awesome. Its the only AI EQ that actually works and the reason its so popular.
Is it mixing for you? NO.
Does it handle the EQ part oif mixing proper tracks...YES Better then a pro studio engineer.
Is that wrong...dont know but I learn and watch what it thinks is a "good EQ" and I am learning how to EQ things just watching it do its thing and hopefully it teaches me how to replace it and do it myself.

Instead get this 60 year old movie from the 1960s.

Some scenes with schools of fish are recycled from the last Disney Little Mermaid movie.The fish are different because someone typed in "Sharks" into the AI generator instead of "Blue Dorsal".Same scene different colored fish.No thought or effort required to change it.
Now heres the kicker with this crap...
The same video gamers who the studio pays to do this garbage just type into AI some keywords like "New York City", "Avengers", "Iron Man", "Captain America"... and this same scene is generated for the next Avengers (Or XMEN, OR WONDER WOMAN OR SPIDERMAN OR SUPERMAN OR BATMAN..etc...etc...etc...) movie. Same shots, same scenes even the actors are all CGI and AI generated in the matter of a minute. The "actors" are paid for their likenesses and not necessarily acting barring a few minor scenes to just show people one minute of the actor really doing some work.

Hollwood came up with the "Marvel Multiverse" just so it could do a bunch more stupid movies all AI generated with non sensicle images as to justify "you are being transported to super heroes in another time and space dimension."Because you can do only so many stupid boring super hero movies in space and underwater. They dont want the video game coders being creative and AI is actually limited in what it can really do.
Oh and yes , alot of the AI generated CGI in the clip above is recycled from The Matrix. Thats why the big huge squid leg things look familiar.
The problem IS NOT AI being used to repeat complicated sequences in movies or music but its that uncreative people dont realize its to the point its a joke and theres no artistic expression. Its basically "CGI CREATORS" who are just cut and pasting.Theyre not creating anything.
Still cant figure out how Aquaman actually killed the big hulking monster "Alien " Level Boss. They forgot to program AI to make a coherent story. The monster is tearing shit up then all of a sudden Aquaman is standing on the monsters head generating sunshine beams out of his arse and suddenly the monster is descending into the murky pits with no explaination.
You are put into such an epilleptic fit by all that video game CGI you never notice the plot descrepencies.
