:D lol you should continue doing leg work, especially now that your legs hurt - it means the legs were very weak. Next time it will hurt less. And you will soon look like a Arnold for sure
Chin-ups: if you keep doing them then you will for sure. When I started with it about 2 years ago I could not do even one :O, and I had to use one of these machines with a counter weight that reduced my weight by 50%. And slowly I worked it up. So if you do it on a regular basis, you will. And if you are younger than me, it will be quicker.

The nerve in the leg hurts easily. Well, that's why I started escrima a year ago. I couldn't walk more than a kilometer without pain. Now I can walk all day.
Chin up's i started at the end of summer because I wanted to get the first chin up before Christmas. Well, I managed to do that, but then I stopped.
At first I just started hanging out at the bar. A little later I used a rubber band and also did negative chin up's.
I have to admit this would be easier if I were lighter. I weigh 120 kilos. 🙂
I don't want to be Arnold 🙂 I just want to live without pain and be in better shape than most people. Well, that isn't much, because people are really in bad shape these days

If the diary carries on I think it would be nice to allow responses because I always want to comment and feel bad if I don't, just clicking on like isn't enough. But I'll say 31st January will be the last day for this thread.
* My new glasses arrived and they were great, so clear.... unfortunately I made the mistake of checking the mirror and saw my face looking back at me, too clear :(
* All the talk about physical exercise makes me feel guilty, especially as I used to run health and fitness classes 5 times a week. I hope I never see any of my old students now I'm so unfit.... I'll get back to it.... maybe :)
* Buying chocolate coated cranberries is a bad idea, they are so small you can't stop eating hand-fulls of them.
* Found a nice song to upload today but I shouldn't really because it's not suitable for jamming but I didn't find that right template to add to myself today.

*home today, working and playing when i can :)
*starting doing my taxes...efff me...what i owe is enough for a nice guitar, a really nice one...oh well, once death hits me i'll never have to worry about taxes again :D
*i had a great/fun conversation with the coffee ladies the other day, they provide much joy to Gizmo and Gertie when we arrive for coffee and pup cups <3
*i think, and i'm guessing, the wikiloops genre 'radio' plays tracks with 2 or more 'loops...i wish it was 3 or more, as the 2 loop tracks can feel empty with drums and other parts missing, doesn't quite feel like radio
*had potatoes and spam for breakfast, sipping on another coffee as well
Cheers!

-I ordered a tonfa yesterday. Maybe if I learn to spin it casually in my hand while walking, maybe I'll end up in a small town in the USA as a police officer.
-I forgot about dreaming about becoming a police officer and i sented the job application elsewhere.
-I started hoping that I would quickly become a rich rock star. I don't want a real job 😁

Comments are always nice. I don't understand what harm they would do. 🙂

I agree, but originally the diary was just a single daily entry, like a real diary. After the first month my thoughts have changed, I think more people would contribute if they thought they might get a conversation going - we shall see in February :)

Nick, I must respectfully disagree on the "more than two tracks". I am reminded of the power of an intimate vocal and an acoustic guitar or a piano. Would be a shame if Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt was skipped over originally because there were only two tracks! :| I think all the tracks are deserving of Wikiloops radio...you might just find a drum/bass track that sparks the urge to create. So many great tracks with potential- if they don't get heard they won't be built upon into the great song you want to hear on the radio! :W The radio is great to put on in the background- you will hear tracks you might not have sat down and clicked on. It's like a treasure hunt for new music! With three or more the beautiful song you did with Shi above would be omitted from Radio! As a vocalist, I often start with the basics. An acoustic guitar, some keys is all I need to ground myself within a song. Some of my own most meaningful songs (to me) I have done are just me and one instrument. For me, it helps to start with the root of a track so that it can grow into a full (musical) tree! Of course- I do mainly vocals and am not an official musician...(I get a lot of requests when I play my guitar...but I play it anyway! :P ) Some musicians upload drums/bass/keys/guitar all in one track too. I guess it all boils down to what kind of ear you are listening with. One to discover, or one to jam out! I don't know the answer. I think it's 42? B) :D
PS..any leftover Spam and Potatoes? <3

definitely a choice. i'm comparing it to traditional radio, where tracks feel more complete. i like to occasionally stream the 'loops and the more complete tracks get me going more :)
but yes, if looking for some framework tracks for inspiration and adds, it's a great start.
maybe the radio will be customizable one day, i'd prefer to listen to tracks with vocals, truth be told :W
i might be making another batch of spam and potatoes this morning :D <3 simple yet satisfying :)

For sure it is personal choice...for me finding a melody is sometimes difficult and If I hear a track with someone else that has added vocals their melody gets "burned" into my brain and I almost can't come up with my own. I have to tip toe around tracks sometimes to not spoil the creativity for myself! Hahaha... there are many great vocalists on the loops! I think there is a Voices of the Month radio station too. ;)

i thought i was the only one to do that, good to know i'm not the only one. if i'm interested in a track, i won't listen to any of the adds until i've got my idea out lol :D

You're not the only one. I never listen to other people's bass tracks until I record my own.
Another reason was that I was shy in the beginning. I didn't feel like playing if someone had played something great.
