Wowee! What's happening here on the diary ? ? ? That was great Moonchild, I never thought watching someone spray-paint a piece of wood would have me hooked... I'm on tenterhooks waiting for part 2 :D
Seriously thanks to contributors in whatever way you want to post, visual stuff is more inclusive to the wide audience here. I'm kinda left behind technically but I feel proud to have got people involved. PS, the phone that fell down the loo might work today.... or not. Laters, Shamika

Wednesday 19th February

* I've done a lot of shouting today. I'm normally quite laid back and extract myself from dodgy situations but sometimes it's necessary to face things head on so there's no misunderstandings... this morning was one such occasion. After the confrontation I had a sore throat from screaming.... it shouldn't have got to that stage so now I'm sorry (even though I was right) :D

* I had fun with rootshell's Wilhelmina, did a bit of research and got a feel for the vampire vibe. I didn't write any lyrics, just made it up as I went along - the clarity on the vocals was poor so it didn't really matter. I think I could have been a Goth in a former life, maybe I WAS Wilhelmina! I needed to be exorcised after that performance :o

* That the phone is kaput after its swim in the toilet, so no vlog today. I always think the design of mobiles is wrong, they should be soft and squeezy not hard and shiny.

* Had a very long walk today but I'm out of the routine so I needed to sit down in the park on the way back. I watched the ducks, I love ducks they always calm me down :)

In case you missed it .... but don't watch before going to bed!

- I haven't done anything today. I woke up in the morning with a headache and it ruined half the day. I guess I snore too much because it wasn't the first time.

-In the afternoon I mixed a song, which I later uploaded to Wikiloops. This time my bass is not good, but I am satisfied that I got the song done. For some reason i have hated every song I've been doing lately so it was good to get the monkey off my back.

-Finally, I'll post a picture to help Rootshell, if he's still thinking about buying a new guitar.

I agree, today is Thursday. This has been such an ordinary day that there is nothing else to say about it.

I'm going to bed already, I'll just watch netflix for a while. So it is safe to say, this was boring day. 🙂

Well, sometimes being bored is good thing.

I agree! If you tell someone you're bored they tend to suggest things you can do, but mostly you don't want to DO anything. You can't be bothered - it's too much trouble, Boredom is part of life, it allows you time to do nothing... to just be. Getting out of boredom is not something you can force, you have to let it happen naturally.... just wait for the next inspiration, a new idea, a project, a need or whatever. I have actually written many songs about boredom and found the experience to be fun :)

The guy looking for the leak gave a quote today, I thought it would be a few hundred pounds....
!"£$%^&* :o:(::@ actually what he wanted (and won't get) was nearly £5,000. He said it would take 3 men 3 days - to fix a small leak that no-one can see, hear, smell or feel but the water pressure is a little low (or high, can't remember)

Now I'm depressed as well as bored.... here's one of my 'boring' songs

What do you get when you combine plumbing, fence repair, and Baroque pop?

You get my video diary. I focused on working with Remy (while documenting) and spending a little time in the evening to write this song.

I’ve been so happy to read people’s comments with quotes from books near them… lots to consider.

so cool, i've often wondered what loopers do besides music...are they also 'creative' and 'crafty' in other areas of their lives...this answers it moonchild...you seem like the crafty DIY'er :) looking at that shower valve (i think it was a valve), i had to replace one recently (it was leaking all over the place and had a steady leak). jeez, what work it was to pull out the valve, i watched a few YouTube vids to figure it out...you're video reminded me of that headache i had to deal with lol :D

i'll have a diary update soon, took some vids on Wednesday, it's been a busy work week for me :)

Aw yeah, enjoyed this entry!

Those chords look like quite a handful 😵‍💫Fun aerial shot and the doggies are precious :D

Queen of the Damned was one of my favorite movies during my vampire phase… Aaliyah was everything in that role.

Lastly, shout out to the fig newtons.

Last year I had the pleasure of replacing 18 shower valves for a hotel with Remy so with practice the headaches have gone away. There’s almost always something unexpected in the process 😅 hopefully you won’t have to do that again for a while…

I’ll remember this speech to give my son when he knocks on my door at night and says, “I’m bored 😌

Just an early morning entry to the Fab Feb diary. Enjoyed watching vids by Moonchild and the Roots :) I could use both of their skills at the moment (plumbing and wiring)

I know football (soccer) is not a popular Diary topic but I want to say that LCFC have made it to the record books by losing 6 consecutive matches at home without scoring a single goal. Fans were leaving as early as 18 mins into the game last night. We're way down in the relegation zone now. I'll be back with a more upbeat entry later but right now here's a picture of our captain last night :(

Saturday 22nd February

It's been a pleasant day today. I actually went into the back garden to assess how much work needs doing before putting the house on the market. I collected a load of old chairs and a table to take to the local recycling depot. I started to collect all the gardenalia strewn around, bird bath, bird table, Sun dial, various gnomes and stone figures, pots and benches. I might line up the ones I don't want out front and see if any passes by are interested :)

I have a Red Japanese Torii Gate dividing the garden, it's beautiful but I don't think I can take it with me. The plan was to build a secret Japanese garden behind it but it's in such a state I never bothered. There's a big stinky pond covered in green stuff, some trees that need chopping back and a wild area covered with nettles. The right person could make it look good but I know now that I'm not that person - I'm a typical garden lover who hates gardening :(

-I uploaded one song to Wikiloops today. I also did another one, but I got too excited and played at too high a volume, so the quality of the recording was poor. I'll record the song again one day.

I was waiting for this day to come again, when I get completely excited about the song. I really had a great time.

-Tomorrow I will make another video.

-I just read about Shamika's garden.

I'm terrible at growing plants. The only plant I had was a lemon tree. I grew it for a few years, but now it suddenly died. I don't know what I did wrong.

Actually, I don't know if it was a lemon. It could also be a tangerine or a clementine. All I remember is that I ate something and then I put the seeds to grow. Now I'll never know what I grew. :)
