Another loss, that's SEVEN in a row. I think I'll have to find another team to follow because I'm getting no pleasure from LCFC :(

(In true dramatic overacting fashion) Today the grip on the Kleenex box loosens. The clarity in my eyes reaches beyond the edge of this couch that has held me hostage at the edge of deaths door for two days. How I long to sit up right and raise my head to a vertical position, but how the pressure inside my head holds me down. I have made it through another day as the life inside my body has not yet slipped from my grasp. Time will tell if I wake in the morning. Fare thee well... for tonight. 🤧🥹

In summation:
Still sick. Getting better. Sense of humor still well intact. ;) :P

Moments when i feel young. I can't remember the last time I laughed this much. :)
There's some magic in seeing people that you see less often. It makes you behave like you did a long time ago.

Well now my sister is on her way back home, so it's time to get back to my normal routine. I have to admit that it feels good to pick up the bass again and play a few songs. Two days without music felt strange, but that's probably a good sign.

But maybe I'll buy tickets to a concert or hockey game to have something to look forward to. The thought of everyday life terrifies me.

Sunday 10th January, getting my diary entry in early so I can log off for the day :)

It's Sunday and I have the time
To write my entry all in rhyme
The weather here is cold as ice
I walked to town, it wasn't nice
The shop was busy, had to queue
For one banana and paper for the loo

Back home I emailed folk I missed
Been so long since we hugged and kissed
Had Hotpot for lunch and a yogurt to follow
But still my stomach was feeling hollow
So I dived into the biscuit tin
You'd think that was a deadly sin

Logged into the Loops but just one like
I think I need a better mic
I played some songs and a few videos
Cleaned up and tidied, washed dirty clothes
That's my story it isn't very long
Maybe tomorrow I'll write a silly song

You can have mine, a squad full of overpaid Primadonna who already got 3-5 managers sacked.

Wow an eventful Saturday :/:
Saturday started with me getting up meeting someone in town who wanted to buy my old mobile phone, from a small adds site. The idiot did not turn up. Wrote me later: "sorry can we do it tomorrow?" Blocked him and gave him a bad review. The cheek of some people...
*Started removing the Y piece exhaust of the Nissan. I had a perfect plan that I thought out last week in my head. All went more or less good, then when it was out, I had to go and buy 6 stainless steel M10 bolts and nuts to fix the new part.
*Drove to one hardware store, they only had M8. Drove to the next one, also did not have what I need. It's been half an hour gone.
*Drove up to the other town, where the shop did have what I had, also bought a battery operated vibrating saw to cut off the remaining bolts.
*Came back, more than an hour and a half lost, almost dark. Crawled underneath the car, started sawing of the stud, but nothing happens. A lot of noise but no cutting.
*Took a magnet to the bolt, is magnetic. So I assume not stainless steel.
*Used a dremel with a cutting disc to chop the stud off. Took ages.
*Started to drill the stud out, drill does not take. Tried another one. BOLLOX!!! It is stainless steel. Took almost two hours to drill one bloody stud out.
*gave up. Car has no exhaust. Don't know what to do.
*Moped around most of Sunday.
*Came up with a new plan, but it is f***ed. Will have to take a day off this week to get it done, buy a set of ultra hard (and expensive) HSS Cobalt drills, try to get it done somehow as the car needs to drive by Friday.
*OH the joy of working on cars...that's why I became a motorcycle mechanic, I never wanted to crawl underneath oily cars, but here I am...

A strange winter. The snow has almost melted, even though it should be the coldest time of the year. Well, at least the sun is shining, which cheers me up. 🙂

The highlight of the day was probably when I slept in the afternoon. Well, at this age, small naps are a nice thing.

Maybe I won't be as boring tomorrow because I would like to make people smile. Sometimes small actions are enough. A while ago I put pigtails on to make people laugh. I have to admit that the university students had a lot of fun when they saw me in fitness boxing.:)

Monday 20th January

Thought to myself "I'm glad I'm not TeeGee" I can do without that stress : But when he mentioned the word "moped" I thought he'd ditched the heavy stuff and bought a MOPED!?

Now my day....
* I think I may be under the weather like a few others here, I just want to sleep and drag myself around, I'm hot and itchy and a bit dizzy.

* I watched my resident robin (redbreast) from the window. He sits on the washing line most of the time, just watching the other birds swoop into one of my bird feeders - when it's all clear he drops down and picks up all the food they dropped. I love him <3

* Watched 'Junior Bake off' it's better than the adult one, much funnier, and very messy. Harry Hill is perfect in the show.

* Made my daily visit to Rightmove {houses for sale), I'm a bit of a voyeur, I like how some houses have a way to virtually move from room to room. I enjoy being critical of the decor and lifestyle knickknacks.

Well it's 7 pm now and I don't know how I'll get through the evening without nodding off again. I hope some wikiloopers will come back to the diary.

I uploaded my diary post before I'd seen Aito's and I wanted to say it did make me smile. We obviously have a lot in common.... sleeping and hairstyle :D

Tuesday 21st January

* Warmer today, went out without the woolly hat and gloves. I had to buy a birthday card for someone who I haven't seen or spoken to for years. I don't know what she likes or does these days so it was a really bland card - I only send one to her because she sends one to me, if I stopped she probably would too.

* I uploaded an Eleanor Rigby type song and it seems to be popular. If people like my 'Show songs' I have dozens of those so watch this space. ha-ha!

* Still not feeling great today, my body clock is out of kilter, I sleep all evening then wake at 2,30 next day. I had loads of dreams but they were all very boring, you know those frustrating dreams where you never get to the end of anything!

Nature is trying to kill me. Every place has been frozen for a few days. If I had winter boots and didn't wear sneakers, everything would be easier. I think I'll use my old shoes though.

I made one song today that got 2 likes. It's a normal amount so I didn't expect more.

I tried to find a guitar teacher for my son, but the prices are too high. I think I'll teach him myself even though I can't play the guitar.

Otherwise, the day was normal. I went to Escrima training and now I'm taking a shower, after that I'm watching a movie.

I didn't listen to Wililoops new songs today, but tomorrow I will open my computer.

(Don't read my diary update from yesterday. It looks very different now than it did yesterday 😂)

Rootshell's music really hits hard. I was listening to his song when I slipped today. I hit the back of my head on the ice.

I got a little concussion, but otherwise I'm fine. So no music today as my head hurts.

*been busy at work, lots of phone calls, planning n stuff. lots of bullshit too, just trying to get things done, sometimes its not worth some of the hassle
*spoke to a long time friend whom i haven't spoken to in about a couple of years, was great to catch-up with him last night
*got some orthotic inserts for my shoes delivered this morning, been breaking them in, hopefully it helps my heel pain
*breakfast was coffee, sausage n eggs, with a tortilla. Gizmo loves tortillas, we call him the burrito bandit because he'll grab your burrito if you're not paying attention :o

Seems like I started a Bunny revolution today, you can never have too many bunny songs :)
My next project is another novelty "Has anyone seen MrSnuts?" this is more of a Rocker. Should be ready in the morning.

I'm a little worried that this diary is becoming more of a conversation between the most stalwart of us :( can't see it lasting for a year somehow. Who will be the last man/woman standing ? :D

Supper = Cod fishcake and lemon yogurt with triple choc chip cookie.

1/23/25 Thursday

* Uploaded MrSnuts at some unearthly hour this morning, then I suddenly thought many people may not even know who he is/was - and I doubt he will notice it now - but I had fun and that's important to me.

* Had to do an errand and I wasn't in the mood so instead of walking, I jogged to get it done quicker - Boy, I can't remember the last time I jogged, plus it was probably as slow as walking anyway :D

* I accidentally opened a tin of tomato soup instead of baked beans so the meal was a little odd tonight :(

* I could do with a getaway. Maybe when the boss finishes his 37 treatments of radiotherapy next week, that's the plan.

* Prepare to make January the end of the diary, I want to start something new - you know what I'm like ha-ha!

My head doesn't hurt anymore, but my neck does. I feel like a bobblehead figure whose head is too heavy.

Maybe tomorrow I'll use my huge head as a metronome, which I will happily swing from side to side. It would be the first time I could play on the beat.

I've slept all day so nothing to report about my day. A little concussion made me very sleepy

(Rootshell's terror goblin was the best joke of the day 🙂)
