Biography
Hi groovers,
I'm a guitar player, but sort of a latecomer, starting at 44 with the electric, now with 48 still striving, and BURNING for playing! Lack of talent I try to compensate with overdose of motivation and enthusiasm.
I'm basically a rock and metal guys, but good guitar music gets my attention anytime - it does not necessarily be rock music. My main intention musically is to be able to improvise and jam with others so wikiloops is a great place to make the first steps into that direction.
Instruments
I play mainly electric guitar; it's an Ibanez RG Prestige. As I'm one of those "bedroom heros" my amp is a small Blackstar HT-5. Collected a pew pedals as well, distortion, reverb, delay, wah. I especially love the wah pedal, and I long so much to be able to solo over any give chord progression, and put the feel to the strings, enhancing it with the wah-wah. It's a long for me as I'm an bloody beginner, but the long walk is fun in itself!
I don't long for another guitar right now, as I really like my Ibanez and put my focus totally in improving my playing and my technique. This guitar is perfect for my favourite music anyway. Don't need a collection of axes, when I'm not really able to blend my mind's ideas on my current instrument yet.
Maybe later I'd like to have a real Les Paul, a Standard at least. And which bedroom-guitarist does not dream of cranking a big amplifier REAL LOUD! But that's far future.
Recording devices
My recording setup isn't really worth being called a "recording setup". :-)
I got a real small 6-track-mixer. With it I can combine guitar signal and input from the computer (like backingtracks or MP3 songs) into one signal on the headphones (these are indispensable when you're living in a house with several neighbors).
The guitar signal comes from the HT-5's emulated (headphone) output. It's not as good as playing the amp loud, of course, but well enough for my personal recording.
For recording I use the great freeware program "Audacity" and export the result as MP3. It works really well and suffices for my modest purposes.

like it? love it? Pay for it ! thanks Yall !!
