I'm sorry I'll miss this get together. However, I will be on a river cruise from august 7-24th and will have days/nights in Germany, as follows:
Melk Aug 12, Passau 13th, Regensburg the 14th, Nuremburg the 15th, Danube Canal and Bamburg the 15th, Wurzberg the 17th, Wertheim the 18th, Middle Rhine and Koblenz the 10th and Cologne the 20th. I'd like to drop into a blues club or two and maybe sit in a few songs. Do any of these towns have blues clubs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This trip was planned long before I joined Wikiloops. But I think it's very cool what you guys have set up and have really enjoyed the last month playing around here on the site and interacting with lots of other musicians.

My band and I are in discussions with 2 different groups about doing a blues tour in Europe next year, so maybe one way or another we'll cross paths.

I'm affraid I'm not all that familiar with the current german blues scene to be of much help there... Koblenz & Cologne are close to where I live, Cologne should definetly have some live music available, the Koblenz scene used to be rather small. Only known location for Blues in Koblenz is the "Cafe Hahn", where I've seen a few concerts of US / brit Blues acts (not sure if its still around, that was years ago).

That would be very cool JM! I have a hammond clone too but have never taken the time to get the drawbars under control! Would love to hear some basics arround that!

It's getting close now - less than a month! Can't wait! :)

I'll be bringing cymbals, snare(s) and hardware should it be needed. I'll also be bringing my Mac, interface and recording gear should extra mics, cables, stands, recording capacity, etc., be required.

I will take computer with audio interface but I don't know how to plug that !
I did not play live from many years...
So just in case I will take some old BOSS pedals.
I have just a "Fender Performer" amp but not so performer... tell me if I had to bring it

oh and I will be bringing an AlexJ too ;)

Epifani UL502 amp + Epifani 2x12 cab, fine amp! :)

I will bring my stagepiano Roland Rd-700 NX. It's oke for others to play on that. As long as you put your beer on the ground and not on top of the board :) :)

I will bring my AxeFx2 with power amp. It worked fine through the PA last year but i think it would hurt do have options.
If there is a request i can bring my Elmwood Stinger w.TC G-major as well. There is also a Hartke HA5500+GK2x12+Horn but since there is already a bass rig i will leave it unless expicitely requested.

I will be happy to hold workshops on any combination of the following subjects:
Computer assisted guitar learning and practicing
Transscribing
Fingerstyle techniques

It currently looks as if we will be joined by a two-heads film team interested to do a documentary on the wikiloops project, too... drinks have been ordered right this minute, still working on the live-stream riddle a little...

@CKArmstrong - I just checked, the initial announcement is from february 11th... wouldn't say that was on short notice :P

I got word from Issiro about him regretfully not coming so i bring the bass rig.
Its a Hartke Ha5500 with a lexicon MPX500(i think) effects unit and a GK 2x12 with horn. I hope that will suffice

Seems that my transportation finally is under control,:) so it looks I'll be joining too! If all goes well I'll bring besides my Rikkers bass my little TC Electronic BG250-208 along. It's just a baby amp so if extra power is needed I'll bring along some cables to attach an 8 ohm cabinet with jack or speakon.
