I am curious to hear that Fender downtown express.
I have a Mesa Boogie Bass DI preamp.
Because I an not use my old focusrite audio interface because the firewire does not work on my new computer.
So I have a Motu 4 which is powered by usb and the Mesa subway creates some evil ground noise.
Also I now can't use the DAW monitoring any more ...there is really huge latency, even with nothing
else on in the DAW.
On the focusrite I used amp simulation and DAW monitoring and it was pretty phase on.
The MOTU now is better and the pure bassound is great. Just I need some preamp that allows me to equalize and set sound on the input side.
I am not really a pro bass player and have no amp or mic set up.
So I am searching for an affordable preamp ( does need to simulate tube drives )
Or does maybe anybody can give me a hint on howew to get that ground noise away on my
audio interface ( My guess is because this offers no possibility for a power adapter and is not properly grounded ).
If the Mesa would work, I'd also be happy.
As I am not a big pro , maybe somebody has an idea ...some gear with equalizer and not too fancy.
Thx in advance !

There is a video on the Fender product listing page. Hope it helps. Tried to post a link. Didn't work.
