Dan Phelps - Arc (2017) Dan has many great guitar demos on youtube and this is his latest album--ArtRockSudio would dig and Inkless and WhiteDrums55
Dan Phelps- Death Under the Rainbows------FLIPPIN' WOwZERrrrrS

City Boy - CityBoy/Dinner at the Ritz(influenced Boston & and either influenced Eagles Hotel California song or was zeitgeist ---both release in 76)

Elvis Costello and the Attractions - Imperial Bedrooms(WOW BASS and Keys/Piano and of course Elvis vocals)

Jade Warrior - Jade Warrior (Sounds like early King Crimson- Jethro Tull- GFRailroad)

Kraftwerk - ComputerWorld (AWESOME visionary work about our world today--and downright danceable)

M. Ward - Transistor Radio (M. Ward wanted this record to sound like it came out when people were listening to old times radios)

Moody Blues - Question of Balance(lots of great stuff in this album)

Neil Young - Harvest(AWESOME Neil---with about 10 other albums of his)

My Morning Jacket - Z (THIS HAS SOME REALLY COOL STUFF ON IT--Highly Recommend)

Brian Protheroe - Pick Up (Very Talented singer songwriter sort of like 10cc song structure---complex and changing themes within his songs)

XTC - Oranges and Lemons

Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks - Original Recordings

The Doors - Soft Parade

A couple of albums I've been listening to recently, one old, one new:

Give 'Em Enough Rope (1978) - The Clash

Scatterbrain (2017) - KXM (George Lynch, Dug Pinnick, Ray Luzier)

I'm a big KingsX fan so I am also looking forward to the release of Ty Tabor's new album in January 2018 :)

I haven't bought any new albums in a long time. Especially after discovering Wikiloops :)
There are three albums I listen to religiously for years, usually while servicing guitars.

Los Indios Tabajaras

Genesis - A Trick of the Tail

My listening tip for today is Terry Reid. Great rock singer, who was the first choice for Led Zeppelin as lead singer. Apparently he was a bit worried about the occult Page was involved with, so he declined. Anyway, if you never heard him before give him a listen, also the Album Seed of Memory

Last few days I’ve been listening to a lot of stuff off of this YouTube page called Apartment Sessions based out of New York. From what I gather it is extremely large groups of musicians who come together and just make phenomenal music. Seems like they have different musicians at different times too. I highly encourage people to check it out. This is the first video I watched and it blew me away.

R. Stevie Moore & Jason Falkner LP " Make It Be"

R Stevie Moore is the prolific king of low fi, having released hundreds of cassettes over the last 50 years. Jason Falkner has made highly orchestrated pop with Jellyfish, Eric Matthews, and Beck (not to mention some wonderful solo records, like 1996’s Author Unknown). Put them together and you get Make it Be, their wonderful collaborative album out NOW via Bar-None.

Hey Marceys - Esperanza Spaulding is an unbelievable musician! I saw her at the Newport Jazz Festival a few years ago. Her bass playing is extraordinary, and she sings beautifully while playing these incredible bass parts. Just a unique talent :)

I have not seen her on a live stage performance yet but i hopefully will in time!
Think she does incredible things indeed, her playing and singing are one of a kind! Stage ambience on the spot!

Cheers,

Marc

Yes, exactly what I thought - also there is a resemblance to another favourite of mine, Frankie Miller. They were all from the same period, too
