trying to do a summed up entry on current updates:
while the first year online is comin to its end, I have succeeded in doing some very root level changes - I dont want to go into tech detail too far, but I'm proud to say I managed to lower the number of repeating requests on the same data by factor 10 at least - p.e., the data table including the instruments names in the correct language is now only called once when you load a page, while it used to be loaded over again any time a instrument name was needed before - you can imgine thats a lot of database requests less once you look at how many intstrument names are given on p.e. the loopsearch site.
Second success was the quickfilter that helps the database distinguish between active and ghost users. When calling for the avatar images from the database, its easy to imagine its much less timetaking to look within the active members (9X so far) than to go thru all 1239 members... so wiki got a little faster on the sql-side, and I'm quite confident it will be able to handle up to 10.000 users before slowing down significantly that way.
I cleaned up the .styles.css once more, taking out unnecessary classes and winning some KBs that way. Split the code into more sub-snippets, so only needed code is read by the server.
This will opoen chances on diffrent screen resolution versions, there goes the mobile project...

Playlist development has been finished and even works with quicktime... still a bit beta from the looks, but works fine - took me another day to find a way to convince quicktime to play several files in a row...
