reported bugs:
language on edit profile (thx, slim)
Cmadd9 in Tabs (thx Dope)
current project: marking up the site with so called semantic programming - leads to less code needed for same page result, less problems with the look on different browsers. So nothing will be changed noticably theese days, but I hope to achieve a cleaner design and better google ranking by theese efforts. It may sound weird, but I am still learning a lot about coding theese days - on first attempt, wiki was a site doing the job, now its becoming a clean coded site with proper use of coding standards. So what I'm doing is cleaning up the mess I left when getting it to work about a year ago. This will take three or four more nights on the code I guess, then its time to sit back and watch the effects in ranking again.
Next to the tasks mentioned above, I have two more projects coming up which will affect the usability a lot more:
first, theres the thought of starting to work on a free text search for backings - a job that will take a week or two I guess, second - and more likely to happen anytime soon, is a redo of the jamroom feature and the jams displayed in ones profile: I think I'm going to add a means to filter/order theese tracks by thumbs, by upload date, style, instrument AND offer a display of the best rated sessions a user took part in (in difference to the best rated track a user shared himself) - thats going to be really handy feature I believe to spot ones cool tracks.
As you notice I'm working at full throttle on this, whish I had more time theese days to get it done. Overall development of the site is rather slowing down theese days, while the germans are recovering from carnival, I hope user numbers will increase a bit again soon :)
