Pieces of Nothing
Super fun, tight jam by Shum! Had to play with it a little. Been a long couple of weeks! :) Enjoy!

Where is my face? Oh, there it is...on the floor in a puddle. HOLY CRAP Aaron! That was freaking insane! Top Notch my friend. You should be on stage with the big dogs....and shut up...I'm right. ;) :D

I hope you can put your face back together. It's a very nice face. :)
I've had two different lectures this week about learning how to take a complement, so I'll just say "Thank you" and feel awkward inside. :D +2

seriously proud of you...you have come a long way since that first time you picked up a guitar! I was there, I know. ;) I have watched you develop your skill to the point that you are so crazy good now, you don't even realize it. But we see it, even if you don't want us to. So you keep feeling awkward inside. It's a feeling you have earned. ;) Love you buddy!

That might be the most heartfelt compliment I think I've ever been given. Thank you, Kelly. Thank you SO much. That means a lot to me. You can't imagine. :)

This again huh? Aaron feels weird when people compliment him beyond the response "cool jam".
Alright that's fine. Yo Aaron, you're a massive shredder, I guess it doesn't matter if you believe it or not, just keep adding to everything you can here on the loops. Don't stop. And ignore the fake support. YOu know where the real support is. +1

Thank you, Girard. And I DO mean that.
I know I can pay some cool stuff, but I also know that there's a ton of stuff that I can't do that I should've learned way before shredding, basic stuff....
That's where the discomfort comes in. If someone says, "that was REALLY fast", or, "that sounded cool" - I'm ok with that. Lol.
If you say, "you're an AMAZING guitar player", then I'll sit and think about how I can't sit around a campfire strumming chords with an acoustic if my kids' lives depended on it because I never learned how.... ;) +2

Tiger Woods isn't much of a football player...even though it involves a ball. Layne Staley wasn't great at opera singing, but he is one of rocks music's best vocalist. Elton John is not the best at yodeling, yet he rocks the piano and vocals like no other. So sure, you may not be able to strum chords at a campfire, but you CAN blow everyone else away with your solo ability...which I bet a lot of rhythm players wish they could do. You have a talent...not one you were given, one you worked for. One you have earned. One that you learned by playing right handed guitars upside down (a feat in itself). One you have mastered by not giving up until you were able to do it. One you have dedicated years of practice to develop. So you let the others play the chords and in the meantime, you can split our firewood with your bare hands until it's time for that killer solo. ;) Because you ARE a great guitar player. You skipped the basics and went straight into what every beginner guitar player dreams of learning. You are the icing on the cake, not the cake itself, and that is ok, because you are the best icing in town. ;) So, back to what I first said, shut up. I'm right. ;) Ha-ha We should get together soon. I miss your stubborn face. A thousand hugs to my very best, guitar shredding friend that I'm so proud of. :) :D

I could type four hours and never do a good enough job of expressing my gratitude for that. Honestly. Thanks Kelly. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. :)
And I agree. We need to get together soon. Absolutely. I miss you guys. +1

Sometimes I do too. Because I'm a jerk like that. Ha ha!
Having said that, they possess a skill I do not. I'd be a better musician if I learned that as well. ;) +1

I heard this jam a few days ago and it stuck with me because it was just SO perfect. Wanted to give it a Haffast touch! I need to listen to it on better speakers or headphones. I don't know how well the left and right panned extra rhythm riffs shined through yet.

Thanks a lot Jax! Much appreciated! I tried to have that lead really stands out from the original (badass) rhythms and the other rhythm riffs I sprinkled in there with hard left and right panning.
