Thank you so much to Zach and Mr. Lutz for this beautiful piece of music. What a pleasure it was to contribute to this work!

Wow, almost an impossible task to play to that piece that had almost no rhythm, but well done

Jan, I agree it is moving. That is what drew me to it. Zach and Mr. Lutz created that emotion in the music but I'd like to think the drums helped draw it out and emphasize it. Prior to learning to play the drums I never knew how much influence the drums can have over the emotion and dynamics of a song. That is the aspect of playing drums that I most enjoy. Listen to the song without the drums and see if you feel different about it. For me, the cymbals draw you into the music and both the cymbals and the drums add more impact to the emotion. It's really cool to be able to do that to a song and it's particularly useful when you play in a band that plays worship music as I do. I can worship through my playing. It is a really cool thing to experience!

I agree 100% Drums really do add an additional emotional emphasis that wasn't there before. Nice editorial! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that. :)
