Big time thanks Wade. This was a track I did and then forgot about. That doesn’t happen much but it was fun to find it on my laptop. Turns out I did this a week ago haha!

I don't think I've ever posted a track within a week. usually from two months to two years or longer before they reappear.

I admire your monk-like patience. Confucius on patience: “Arrive at a place where you don’t care if a file is uploaded today or in 3 years”

A different reality: I download heaps that just go into a file. They are picked somewhat randomly to record. They then go into another file and sit waiting to be edited. Once edited they go into another file and sit there waiting to eventually upload. I only post maximum two tracks a week, so they pile up with 200+ recorded tracks not posted.

That’s an interesting system you have going. I am inspired to do the same, I think it would add to the magic at times to have the track to be jammed come up as a random fateful selection if you believe in that sort of action in the universe. Thanks for the great idea.

There are other reasons that have little/nothing to do with randomness or filing methods. The sax is a sideline instrument. This site is about guitar, bass, drums, keys and vocals. Trumpet, trombone, sax, violin, kazoo, etc. are on the periphery. I've tried posting more than two tracks a week. The result was nobody listened. I don't need to post tracks if just practicing/playing for myself!
I'm also now 77, so in "countdown mode". How much longer can I play? Arthritis, dementia, and a final breath may not be far away. So all of these recorded tracks can still be posted when I can no longer play, or as a "legacy" that goes on...for a while. It's just a part of getting old that this sort of thinking becomes your reality. I play while I can and post my (maximum) two tracks a week, but still record a heck of a lot more than that. The playing is a great stimulation and challenge. Being able to share the music is also wonderful, but only worthwhile if listened to, otherwise why bother? It's the same for all of the "arts" You may enjoy the process, but ultimately it's about communicating and giving this to others. I've found how to do this best (for me). I still play live, which is an enormous kick, but there aren't as many opportunities now. +1
