DirkL Thanks man, it's a compression preset in my DAW that gives the extreme punch, other EQing, and some mild reverb depending on the jam. It's not a P-bass. I did start out on one, too muddy for me, not enough in the mid range. I use Rotosound 66 strings, which also contribute to that nice metallic growl +1
