the word Funky is an adjective which isn't the same as saying it's funk style music (a noun). In English we can use the word funk in a lot of different ways. For example you can say someone is in a "funk" which means they aren't feeling well. We can also say someone is wearing "funky" clothes, which means not standard and maybe kind of hippy style. In the case of Mark's track the meaning is: "it's not standard, a bit strange, but fun".
